Memorable Christmas QE2

Memorable Christmas was a series I made for BBC Radio 4's Afternoon Shift for Christmas week 1995. Each day I told a different sorry of a memorable Christmas. This episode featured Andrew and Margaret McLaughlin who had a memorable time in 1968. Andrew had help build the then new QE2 cruise liner at John Brown and Company, Clyebank in Scotland. Before paying passengers were allowed aboard, Andrew and his wife set sail on a free Christmas test cruise with other workers from the shipyard served by the ships crew.
