Canadian Fish Fight

In March 1995 the Canadian fish dispute with the European Union was major news around the world. Canadian officials had just fired on and boarded the Spanish trawler Estai in international waters. They arrested the crew and forced the Estai to a Canadian harbor. Canada claimed that EU factor ships were illegally over fishing Greenland Halibut (Turbot). I was sent to Newfoundland to report for the several BBC radio networks. Here is one of my pieces for Radio 5. Newfoundland Premier Clyde Wells told me what he want to see happen in future....
