Salmon Dying California

On Radio 4, Farming Today is an institution and I was delighted when its then new editor Carol Trewin asked me to work on the programme. She was a kind and brilliant journalist. One of my first assignments was to examine Water Rights in California. As big business purchased the rights to local water, the river supply was diverted, farms dried up and salmon died.
