For over 40 years I have reported from all over the world and met many amazing people. Much of my work was broadcast on BBC Radio 4, Radio 5 Live, The World Service and National Public Radio in America.
I have hundreds of old tapes, reel to reel, cassettes and digital. I've blown off the dust and played some again. They are in no order but tell stories, capture events and provide insight into the past. I hope you enjoy this random selection of my work. On Radio 4, Farming Today is an institution and I was delighted when its then new editor Carol Trewin asked me to work on the programme. She was a kind and brilliant journalist. One of my first assignments was to examine Water Rights in California. As big business purchased the rights to local water, the river supply was diverted, farms dried up and salmon died. First broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Farming Today Saturday 10 June 1995.

In March 1995 the Canadian fish dispute with the European Union was major news around the world. Canadian officials had just fired on and boarded the Spanish trawler Estai in international waters. I was sent to Newfoundland to report for the several BBC radio networks. Here is one of my pieces for Radio 5. Newfoundland Premier Clyde Wells told me what he want to see happen in future.... It was a great pleasure to interview civil rights campaigner Samuel Lacy in 1998.
Sam fought for integration in sport and knew it would lead to social change across America and the world. I met him twice in Baltimore. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. He told of the 1920's and his struggle for equality.
